About Me

I am Femin Yalçın Küçükbayrak. I was born in Izmir, Turkey in 1987. I have been in love with Mathematics since I was a little girl that’s why I decided to have a major in Maths.
After completion of my undergraduate education, I started to the Ph.D. program entitled Applied Mathematics and Statistics in Izmir University of Economics and in July 2013 I completed my Ph.D. under supervisions of Prof. Dr. Ismihan Bayramoglu (Bairamov) and Prof. Dr. Serkan Eryilmaz.  The title of my Ph.D. thesis is “Distribution theory of runs and run‐related statistics in sequences of dependent trials”.
In March 2017, I got the associate professor of statistics title from Inter-universities Council of Turkey.
Since September 2013 I have been teaching courses on probability, statistics, and mathematics. Currently I work as a full professor at the Department of Engineering Sciences in Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Izmir Katip Celebi University, Turkey. I also teach at Izmir University of Economics as a part-time lecturer.
In 2015, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at University of Piraeus, Greece and University of Toronto, Canada.
I speak three languages, which are Turkish (native), English (advanced level), and German (pre-intermediate level).
